Maya Djafarova was one of the leading pedagogues of the musical college and was highly respected by her colleagues and students as well.
During the period from 1978-1996 the students of Maya Djafarova gave numerous performances at the Moscow City concerts and participated at the musical contests of the city of Moscow.
Many of her students, upon graduation from the college continued their education at the various musical establishments. The class of Maya Djafarova had a special atmosphere of warmth and friendliness amongst the students and the teacher. Maya Djafarova was awarded numerous medals and honor certificates for her creative work.
The committee of culture of the Administration of the City of Moscow awarded Maya Djafarova the highest qualification category of piano teacher.
